But if home organization isn’t your forte, the task of re-arranging a garage could be a bit daunting. Here are a few tips that might help.
CLEAR OUT ALL THE JUNK FIRST
If it’s been a minute since the last time the garage was cleaned, chucking out all the junk lying around should be the first step. If any broken items are beyond repair, this is the time to toss them out. And if there are old cardboard boxes that are falling apart, they ought to find their way to the trash, too.

With the garage door closed, use masking tape, and right along the inside edge, create a line. And while other family members still might leave their stuff lying on or near the foul line, at least they’ll know when it’s too near the door.
